Ubiquitous, abundant in meadows, along roadsides, and in gardens. Blooms from June to October. A perennial plant native to the area.

Identification

Globular heads of red or pink flowers on erect, hairy, solid stems. Usually stalkless above upper leaves. Tri-foliate leaves, leaflets usually 2x long as broad, often with white marking. Stipules broad-triangular with bristle point. More/less erect to sprawling growth. Height: 15-45cm.
