Dog Daisy

Plentiful across Ireland, commonly found along roadsides, in dry grasslands, and on neglected terrain. Blooms from June to September. A perennial species native to the area.

Identification

Single large white flowers with yellow centers bloom atop tall, upright stems. Beneath them, a basal rosette of slightly toothed, spoon-shaped leaves with stalks, while the stem leaves are stalk-less and oblong-lanceolate. The plant is either hairless or sparsely hairy. Typically grows between 20 and 70cm in height.
